In the course, the team members learned the knowledge, theory and gained some practical experience of electrical installation. By the end of the course, they had to show that they could competently install an electrical switch of the course leaders choosing. They were also taught to install items so that they were flexible, and therefore they would be ‘future-proofing’, just in case any changes to the circuit needed to be made.

What this shows is that we are a company which will invest in their staff. Instead of outsourcing engineers who already have electrical qualifications, we would prefer to invest in the team we already have and pay for them to become more qualified. This is a path we will always choose as we believe that if you invest in your staff, they will invest in you as a company.

In terms of knowledge gained, this is what Jimmy who attended the course had to say about the 4-day course, ‘the course has a good amalgamation of the fundamental elements of day to day life as an electrician. The knowledge I have gained will allow me to work in a safe and efficient manner and hopefully also allow me to progress with further qualifications.’

Our other team member Brodie highlighted how this would assist him both on site and in the future, ‘By Jones FM giving me the chance to go on this electrical foundation course, it has helped me within my job role as an engineer. It has given me the confidence to carry out jobs that I couldn’t carry out before and I am now able to provide an even better experience and service for all our clients.’
